Test and Tune - the truth comes out

Everybody is anxious to get out an practice. I'm on site with Dale and Jason and Jon are waiting back in Cali to see how the car feels and behaves. We've spent the year trying to gather more data to make the car work better without actually driving on the same surface. Last year surprised us and this year is still an experiment.

We get out on the test course and start playing. The car feels good. The problems we encountered from last year are not present, but the test course is not the same as the actual course. It's still possible that we'll run into issues on the full course.

We get a chance to get a close up view of the new front air dam and rear bumper design that Craig and Jason have come up with - it's hilarious. ST is getting a little out of hand and it's nice to see some light heartedness floating around to make fun of some 'silly' rules.

Just like last year, the course is staffed with volunteer workers from the local region and they bring their hot rods down to the event.

This is also our chance to see some clowning around - like Junior here

or take some group pictures of folks that may only see each other at big events.
