Time to go

The Civic was loaded up and transported to Lincoln with no drama. I'm working like crazy and going through some serious sleep deficits leading up to departure time trying to catch up with work (12-16 hour days for two weeks) before I leave for Lincoln.

My flight leaves LAX at 06:10 AM, which means I really have to be there by 0 dark 30. I end up getting to bed around 1:30 AM and get up at 3:00 AM to get to the airport. It's a long night (actually pretty short if you count the hours of sleep). I make it to the airport on time and there is of course a line waiting to check in. The counter isn't even open yet.

The rest of the trip is a blur, I'm semi conscious and sleeping whenever I can. I arrive in Omaha and meet Dale and we make the short hour drive to Lincoln. It's afternoon with lots of light left. We go straight to the site.

This is truly an amazing site. Lots of room and grippy surface to play on. We find the car - it's in a paddock space, dirty, but in one piece. We unlock and check out the car - it's all good. Tech is closed, so we load the car up and walk the course once. Then off to the Wednesday night banquet. It's nice that we no longer need to have tickets to get in.
