Rear Trailing Arms 89 vs 91, what the HECK?

So as with any sport there is always an evolution. Even with a 22 year old car some how every year there is some got to have part that makes the building of all our cars in our class very difficult to keep up. With the turn of the year there has been a shift away from the commonly found 7 inch rims to a more rare 7.5 inch rims. There are only a couple vendors that make 7.5inch rims and we are eye-ing a set and doing testing if we want to change out the current sets of rims we have for the 7.5's available. So in preparation of that we needed to get out 89 RTA changed out to get us the clearance to run the wider rims. Funny thing is that when calling parts wholesalers of course the part is NLA (No Longer Available) so that brings us to our new friends at H-Auto in Westminster CA. So we find that all the 89-91 arms are stamped with the same numbers but the 91 arms have a succeeded design that allows for 7.5 fitment so i convince the guys at H-auto to let me in the warehouse of Honda part heaven to find out which arms we need. At first he thinks im smoking some good stuff when I tell him what im looking for, but 20 min later we have organized the 10 or so arms he has into 89 and 91 arms, and we have the part we need. I told him to charge double for the 91 arms after me encase any of our competitors come by and try to buy some. =)

So here are the pics of the swap, comparing 91 and 89 RTA for our Honda civic
