Superbowl race day

Wow, what a weekend. We have a car all set to be played with to see what the changes will do and it rains enough to get the event canceled. What a bummer for Saturday.

The rain is stopping on Saturday night/Sunday morning, and there is some question as to whether the water will subside in time for the event to proceed on Sunday.

It turns out to be a beautiful day on Sunday. Not too cold, not windy, sun is shining and folks are still out to play - even though the Superbowl is on.

We race last. Jason takes his first run and looks really loose all over the place. Oops. I forgot to adjust the tire pressure. We adjust the pressures and it's my first time in the car with the current changes. I take my first run and I like the changes. I am shaking - the car has lots of grip and it is way cool.

Three runs isn't enough time to figure out what this car will do - time to work on recalibrating my butt - the car is so different.

Jason is going pretty well in the car as well and Tom Berry is in the grid watching us race. I guess he's interested in comparing to his new STX toy.

I finished my third run and am in 1st place. Jon's car isn't handling right and wants to finish his last run in our car. He starts his run and all of us are watching - he's going really fast. He comes in and he takes 1st place by 1/10th. Boy does the car look good - thanks Jason for all your work. Thanks Jon for your help too.

It turns out that Jon and I finish first and 2nd in class and after final results are published, we finish 1st and 2nd in PAX - wow! How cool is that?

Now, let's get used to this car and race!
