Adventure of the Broken Hub - Part 3

Broken parts and rebuilt stuff!!

So in the midst of repairing all the pieces after the hub failure we were able to the the back aligned as best we could and got the specs back pre-hub-failure so we moved to the front where there seemed to be more toe out in the front driver wheel so we ended up finding out that in the spin we managed to tear the front sub-frame apart.

So the mission began to source all the parts for the repair. In the mean-time to remove the sub-frame we had to remove the shifter linkage, the exhaust and the steering-rack. Since we have the steering rack down we decided to send it to Hyper16valve to get a full rebuild with all Genuine Honda parts.

Once we were able to find a local source for the subframe which is NLA (No Longer Available) in the Honda parts database we also decided to replace the rear motor mount which we initally filled with window-weld but this time around we got the Prothane inserts to make sure they would not wear.

..so now with all the pieces back on the car it was the moment of truth to see if we could get the numbers we wanted in our alignment to still run the car. 3 hours later the car was exactly where it was when if came back from Nationals so we were good and with was time to now find the parts and schedule some time at Rally Innovations to get some custom fab work done for the rear sway bar.

Here's more info on the places we got the parts for reference:
