We get to practice later in the afternoon. Jason has to work in the morning and I have a family event to attend, but we still make it to the practice.
This practice event is set up differently from events past. There are multiple courses set up with two courses with timers set up. A left and a ride side, like a Prosolo, but the courses are not identical.
Since I'm late, I bum rides to see what the courses look like. Some tricky elements have been built into the course. Should be fun. We were going to do a little tire testing, but the Civic isn't working properly. Instead, I have a chance to play in Jon's Civic which is also very well set up. The transition was very easy as he is also running the Bridgestone RE-11 and our cars feel very similar.
It's been a while since I've driven and I start out more than a second off the pace. A few runs and I'm close to being on pace. Jon hasn't driven the left side and takes two runs with me aboard. Then I get to play on the left side. I manage a 44.7, which ends up being the fast time on the left side for the day. Jon's car feels very good.
On the right side, my time drops to a 56.2 which I believe leaves me 3rd fastest in ST on the right side. It will have to do.
Arriving mid afternoon doesn't really give us much time to drive. The Civic is patched up so that it can be driven home and Jason works on the car so that it is ready to go again tomorrow for the PCA event.
