The car has already been very good and I can't wait to try the 'new' setup on the Bridgestone RE-11's. I had been wanting more front end grip and they feel that they have found a nice compromise to will provide more front end grip.
My daughter is go karting and I'm busy in the morning setting up the kids course and getting the go kart ready. With all this prep work to be done, I don't have a chance to walk the course. Tom Berry put the course together and I expect that it will be a lot of fun and also very challenging at the same time.
True to form (and reputation), the course is challenging and fun. I start out by riding with a few people to get a look at the course. Then it's my turn to try out the course. It's different and I'm caught off guard and go off course. I know what I did wrong and correct it for subsequent runs. The car feels quite different from past times and I work at getting used to the car while trying to stay on course.
The practice event ends up going by quickly and by the end of the day, I'm able to get the car to go pretty quickly, finishing up in the 4 fastest Civics for the day - two of the Civics are on Bridgestone RE-11's. The car feels fantastic and I'm looking forward to the Champ day on Sunday.
The Civic now rotates when we want it to while still providing plenty of grip all around. I really like this car now.
