Instructing with the Instructors of the PCA club

On Sat Aug 11, Were were invited to a very exclusive event held be PCA. We have been running at their events since the beginning of the year and at the last few events they had approached us with interest in having us help with instructing their members.

So on Saturday morning they held a clinic that included both classroom time and behind the wheel time in Orange County CA. The morning session was helpful for the newer drivers that were interested in more information on how to instruct and was a good refresher for the people that have instructed before. There were instructors from the San Diego Region PCA the Orange County PCA and also us representing the SCCA instructors. So the room was definitely filled with lots of experience and also a lot of interest.

After the morning session we all drove down the freeway to AMCI, and we got a detailed course walk from David Palmquest who did a great job at describing each corner and the decision making process one should go through as then choose which way to go as well as applying the classroom lessons to his walk, which really brought things together.

The rest of the time we spent practicing our instructing skills and driving the course...We did get a few chances to blast the civic around the course and that was fun and we got to take some PCA members in the car and gave them the ride of their lives in the race car..

Great day and great event Kudos to PCA...

Here are the videos from the day
